| Infinity A Day Late |
Celebrity, which earlier today reported that Infinity was experiencing propulsion problems in the midst of a Panama Canal voyage, has updated its info. As a result of the faulty ball-bearing units, the ship is moving more
slowly than usual and, as such, will be arriving in San Diego a day later than planned. A spokesman at Celebrity says Infinity will arrive on Monday, February 3 instead of the prior Sunday.
In light of the inconvenience caused by that extra-free-day-of-cruising, the company is giving onboard credits that range from $100 per cabin to $250 per suite. Miami-based staff are also handling re-booking of airline flights for
passengers, regardless of whether they purchased the cruise line's air-sea package. | |
