NCL's Dawn Switches Course
In a relatively late-notice switcheroo, Norwegian Cruise Lines announces today it now plans to homeport the new Norwegian Dawn in New York on a year-round basis. That gives Dawn a cozy little niche as the only ship to sail regularly out of the Big Apple during wintertime to warm weather spots. The ship will call at Port Canaveral, Miami, Nassau and NCL's Great Stirrup Cay private island.

Norwegian Dawn will take up its year-round residence in New York on May 18 when, as scheduled, the ship begins its seven-day Bahamas/Florida itinerary. In the meantime, the ship will finish out the winter sailing, as planned, from Miami on alternating week eastern and western Caribbean trips.
