More news from Oceania, cruise-dom's newest line: the company has named its second ship -- to be called Regatta -- and outlined some initial itineraries for each of its two vessels.
Regatta, which debuts first on July 5 with a two-week Barcelona-London voyage, will spend the summer sailing a variety of Baltic-influenced trips that range from 10 - 14 nights. Into September, the ship will shift southward and offer 12- to 14- night Mediterranean itineraries (Barcelona to Venice and back) until heading across the Atlantic from Lisbon for its winter repositioning.
The newly-named Insignia, which debuts October 4, will also offer a variety of southern European itineraries, ranging from 10- to 14-nights. Of particular interest is a Barcelona- to Istanbul two-week voyage and a Rome- to Venice 10-nighter. That ship will make its Atlantic crossing over the Thanksgiving holiday, a 16-night Barcelona- to Barbados trip.
Regatta and Insignia, the first two ships in the Oceania fleet, are formerly known as Renaissance's R1 and R2.
