Few Fascination Passengers Report Norwalk
Carnival’s Fascination returned to port this morning in Miami with just a handful of passengers reporting symptoms of Norwalk Virus. The illness plagued some 200 on Fascination’s previous cruise. According to a Carnival report to the Centers for Disease Control, Fascination’s latest voyage showed a dozen out of 2,040 passengers, and 12 crew out of 900 staffers, suffered from gastrointestinal illness.

Carnival will not scrub today’s scheduled departure but “is continuing its stepped up cleaning and sanitizing efforts,” according to a statement. The cruise line will also continue offering guests scheduled for departure (today in this case) a refund or future credit if they opt not to sail.
