Celebrity Cancels 2015 Round-Japan Sailings Due to Charter
Celebrity Millennium

(8:30 a.m. EDT) -- Two 2015 sailings to Japan on Celebrity Millennium have been canceled and another changed, due to a private charter.

The charter affects passengers who booked on the 14-night Japan cruises for September 27, 2015 and October 11, 2015. The September 11, 2015 sailing is also affected and will end in Shanghai instead of Tokyo.

Celebrity is allowing customers to rebook at the lowest available rate for select cruises on Millennium (December 7, 2014; October 25, 2015; November 8, 2015; December 6, 2015; January 17, 2016) and Solstice (November 2, 2015; November 14, 2015). Passengers who rebook will receive $300 in onboard credit per standard cabin; $500 onboard credit for suites.

A help desk opened on Friday and will remain open until Friday, August 22, 2014. The number is: 1-888-281-9343 ext. 48846

On the Celebrity Cruise Critic forum - where the cruise line posted the rebooking information directly - members noted that the cancelation removes all Japan circumnavigation cruises from the line's schedule. Said Aloha1, "X should take the hint and boost up its Around Japan dates."
