Luxury Expedition Cruise Ship to Undergo Month-Long Refurbishment

July 30, 2014
The Expedition Ship Silver Galapagos

(10:11 a.m. EDT) -- Silversea Cruises' Silver Galapagos is scheduled for a second phase of refurbishment during a month-long dry dock in Panama this September.

Among the stage two renovations will be the full refurbishment of the Explorer Lounge, the suites and the corridors. The enhancements are part of the line's plan to achieve interior design consistency across the expedition fleet.

Last year's first phase of renovations featured new in-suite marble-detailed bathrooms, a new fitness center and massage room, the addition of an outdoor Jacuzzi and Silversea's trademark outdoor dining venue, The Grill.

The 4,077-ton, 100-passenger Silver Galapagos joined the Silversea fleet last year.
