UK Cruise Line Acquires New Ship
Azores

(12:30 p.m. EDT) -- British-based cruise operator, Cruise & Maritime Voyages will add the 550-passenger cruise ship Azores to its fleet in 2015.

The ship has been chartered from Lisbon-based Portuscale Cruises on a long-term basis, according to CMV, and will replace another long-term charter operated by the line, MV Discovery.

The adults-only (over 16) Azores will sail cruises from the U.K.; its first itinerary will be a 30-night Caribbean cruise departing 26 January, 2015.

Of the 16,144-ton ship's 277 cabins, 85 percent are classed as "oceanview," and there are nine suites with balconies.
