Anything You Can Do: Cruise Line Adds Female Dance Hosts to Lineup
crystal-cruises-dance-hosts Move over, gentlemen. Starting this fall, Crystal Cruises will bring female hosts onboard to offer dance partnership to solo male passengers and those whose travel companions don't enjoy dancing.

A complement to the line's wildly popular gentlemen hosts, who have sailed with Crystal since the line's inception, female hosts will mingle with cruisers on three upcoming "Ballroom at Sea" transatlantic voyages.

The first two sailings, both on Crystal Symphony, will take place in October 2014 and June 2015. The third, on Crystal Serenity, is scheduled for December 2015.

Since Crystal's passenger base generally sees more single ladies than men, there have always been at least four gentlemen hosts on each cruise. But, due to the demand on dance-specific sailings, the number available on the Ballroom at Sea voyages will be doubled. Meanwhile, there will be just two female hosts.

Although other lines like Cunard, Silversea and Holland America also offer gentlemen dance hosts, Crystal's move to add female hosts is an industry first.
