| Galaxy Misses Port |
| Passengers on Celebrity's Galaxy this week -- a ten-day western Caribbean
voyage out of Baltimore -- will miss a port call in Belize as a result of a
malfunctioning turbocharger. The part, which broke on the way to Key West,
was flown in from Celebrity headquarters and Miami and cruisers spent an
extra-long day in the U.S.'s closest-to-Cuba city (the usual call is a five
hour half-day, the ship instead was there from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.). The
turbocharger was ultimately fixed and the ship went on its way. Passengers
received a $100-per-stateroom credit to make up for the missed port of call. | |
