Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Launches Dedicated Solos Brochure, Deep Discounts
Blackwatch (9:15 a.m. EST) -- Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has launched a dedicated ‘Solo Cruising' brochure, offering deep discounts to solo travellers on 38 cruise itineraries in 2014/15.

Fred. Olsen's ‘twin-for-sole occupancy' offer means solo travellers can book a twin cabin on many departures in 2014/15 -- without incurring extra charges for solo occupancy. The offer is valid on bookings up to 28th February 2014 and fares start at £72 per person per night.

Nathan Philpot, Sales and Marketing Director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: "We understand that it can be difficult to find suitable holidays as a solo traveller, especially without having to incur huge single supplements. So Fred. Olsen's new ‘Solo Cruising' campaign offers great value single fares combined with a cruise product that is totally compatible with their needs, without being overwhelming or intimidating.”

Fred. Olsen has 190 single cabins across its four-ship fleet. It also carries a significantly higher number of solo cruisers than other lines due to the age demographic of its passengers. Some of the onboard ways it caters for solos includes crew seating them together for dinner and arranging companions for solo travellers when going ashore. There are also Gentleman Hosts and Dance Couples onboard the ships to provide dancing partners for solo guests.

Fred. Olsen's new cruises for the 2014/15 cruise programme also includes its first-ever series of two-night cruises, 'Introductory Cruises'.

Last week Fred. Olsen unveiled a money back guarantee -- ‘Fred.'s Enjoyment Promise' -- which allows cruisers to decide whether the cruise they are on is for them within 48 hours -- or get their money back.
