Norwegian Announces New Cruise Ship Names
(9:37 a.m. EDT) -- Norwegian Cruise Line's next new ships will be called Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Bliss. The two names received the highest number of votes in the line's "Norwegians Name Their Ships" Facebook contest.

"Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Bliss are two names that truly characterize our brand, Freestyle Cruising, and the experience guests will have on board," Norwegian president and CEO Kevin Sheehan said.

The two Breakaway Plus-class ships will be largest in the line's fleet, weighing in at close to 163,000-gross-tons and carrying some 4,200 passengers. Though larger than the line's current Breakaway-class of ship, the new vessels will be similar in design.

Norwegian Escape will be the first of the two ships to debut, in October 2015.
