Port of Miami Security Guards Arrested for Stealing Cruise Passenger Belongings
(12:32 p.m. EDT) -- Two Port of Miami security guards were arrested this month for stealing from cruise ship passengers, then selling the items.

As reported by the Miami New Times, the guards were arrested after police reviewed footage showing one of the suspects taking an iPad from a passenger's bag after it was X-rayed and placing it into the rear of his pants underneath his shirt. The police discovered the footage during an investigation after a Carnival Victory passenger reported her iPad was missing when her bags were delivered to her ship cabin.

Police arrested the two guards during a sting in which they arranged to purchase two iPads the suspects had listed for sale on Craigslist. The Victory passenger's iPad was recovered, as was an iPod Touch that a cruise passenger reported stolen in February.
