Tropical Storm Flossie Keeps Norwegian Cruise Ship at Sea Near Hawaii
(1:53 p.m. EDT) -- Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of America left Maui on Sunday night, a day early, to head out to sea for the day Monday rather than face Tropical Storm Flossie as it bore down on the Hawaiian island. The ship returned to its regular schedule today when it docked in Hilo.

"At Norwegian Cruise Line, the safety and security of our guests is our number one priority," cruise line spokeswoman Vanessa Lane told Cruise Critic.

The sixth named storm in the Pacific this hurricane season, Flossie has weakened to a post-tropical storm in the vicinity of Kauai with wind speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. No further itinerary impact is anticipated.
