(8:20 a.m. EDT) -- A small fire broke out on Princess Cruises' Coral Princess late in the evening May 1. It was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.

Cruise Critic learned of the fire from Cruise Critic member pamwinn who is sailing on the ship and posted that the Captain informed passengers that a fire had been extinguished.

Princess confirmed the fire, which occurred several hours after the ship departed Aruba.

"The fire occurred on deck two in a storeroom," a Princess spokesperson told Cruise Critic. "It was contained and quickly extinguished and no one was injured. We're currently investigating the cause."
