Fireworks for Norwegian Cruise Line's Newest Ship

January 8, 2013
(12:41 p.m. EST) -- When Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Breakaway debuts in May, the ship will pack quite a bang thanks to weekly firework shows during its summer inaugural season.

The fireworks show will take place on the second to last night at sea each week, after the ship departs Bermuda and will be the grand finale of the ship's 1980's-themed deck party. The choreographed pyrotechnics will be set to a playlist of classic 1980's music hits including songs by Quiet Riot, Devo, Madonna, Europe and Prince.

Norwegian has been revealing a steady stream of information on the 4,000-passenger Breakaway, including its solo cabin-and-lounge complex, Haven suite complex, kids' activities, restaurants and more. Follow along on our Project Breakaway page. The christening ceremony will take place May 8 in New York City.
