NCL Adds 2nd Ship in Seattle
Seattle is suddenly booming with Alaska-bound cruise ships. Colin Veitch, NCL President, announced that NCL will base a second ship in Seattle for the 2003 Alaska season. While not naming which ship will move to Seattle, he did say the Norwegian Sky will return there in 2003. NCL will have the preferred Saturday and Sunday departure slots in 2003, forcing Holland America Line to switch to Friday departures for the Amsterdam. The Amsterdam does have Saturday departures in 2002, but NCL requested Saturdays first for the following year, said Marla Kempf of the Port of Seattle.
