One of the best -- and yet weirdest -- things about sailing on a world cruise is that the days tend to run together after awhile. Unless you’re booked on Radisson Seven Seas’ this year. Its Seven Seas Navigator, which is sailing a 105-day world cruise, has signed up an interesting blend of guest speakers, guaranteed to make one day seem different from the next. Among them? Journalists such as Ted Koppel, Tom Wicker, and Bernard Kalb. Actors like Patricia Neal and Larry Hagman. Corporate superstar John Sculley, former CEO of Apple Computer and PepsiCo, and even tv’s Sally Jesse Raphael.
The 490-passenger Navigator departed from Los Angeles on January 20, heading to the South Pacific, and then on to stops such as Australia, Japan, China, Thailand, Singapore, India, the Seychelles, Madagascar, South Africa, Namibia, St. Helena, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador de Bahia and other port calls in Brazil and the Caribbean before winding up in Ft. Lauderdale on May 5.
