| Storm Upgraded |
| Nov. 2 -- Tropical Storm Michelle has now been upgraded to a hurricane, with winds
recorded at 75 m.p.h. After pounding the coasts of Nicaragua and Honduras
and causing much rain and flooding in Panama, Costa Rica and Jamaica, the
storm is heading -- at this point -- toward Cuba. At 10 a.m. E.S.T.,
according to the National Weather Service, Hurricane Michelle is a few days
away from Cuba should it continue in its current direction – it’s 290 miles
away and moving at a very slow 7 m.p.h. At this point the storm’s not
impacting any cruise itineraries but travelers heading out this weekend on
western Caribbean voyages might want to be prepared for a deviation or two.
