| Slideshow: Norwegian Epic Completes Sea Trials |
(12:30 p.m. EST) -- This weekend, Norwegian Cruise Line's latest and largest ship, Norwegian Epic, took part in its first round of sea trials.
The 153,000-ton, 4,200-passenger Norwegian Epic spent four days sailing out in the Atlantic. More than 300 technicans and engineers from the STX Europe's Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard and NCL representatives were onboard to test the ship's performance in speed, maneuvering and propulsion.
Norwegian Epic will complete further sea trials in the spring, and it will debut in Southampton in June 2010, before heading across to Miami to begin seven-night Caribbean cruises.
