| Seabourn Spirit Moves to Alaska |
Alaska’s getting hotter and hotter (or is that more congested than ever) with the announcement today that Seabourn Spirit will now spend the summer
in the 49th state. Seabourn’s last Alaska sailing occurred five years ago.
In recent years, Alaska has been dismissed by high-end lines who, consider
themselves trailblazers and feel that that state’s “trail” has been too
dominated by mass market lines to satisfy luxury customers. Last season, in
the high end category, Radisson Seven Seas’ Mariner -- which sold out most
of the summer -- and Crystal Cruises made regular visits there.
Spirit’s voyages will mostly sail roundtrip from Vancouver and range from
10-to-11 days.
