| Curious about Oceania Marina? There's News! |
Where's Cruise Critic? Friday in New York, Oceania Cruises, whose Marina, its first-ever new-build, will debut in January 2011, will offer some fresh new details about its interiors.
What's It All About? The folks at Oceania are being coy, but an e-mail invite to Friday's press breakfast claims that "Marina will make interior design history." The event will be held at a Ralph Lauren Home Showroom in Manhattan. You can connect the dots....
Just for Fun: Inspired by the ambiguous invitation, earlier this week we created a home page poll that asked "which major designers do you think would do a bang-up job on a cruise ship interior?" Of the four possible winners (choices were decided on a whim by Cruise Critic's handful of more trendy staffers), Vera Wang, Dolce & Gabbana and, yes, Ralph Lauren, were all runners-up. The winner? Tommy Bahama, in a bit of a landslide. But wait: is that name of a real designer? We're still not sure.
Stay Tuned: We'll keep you posted tomorrow.
