| NY Port Welcomes Ship |
In what amounts to a beacon of light for New York’s getting-back-to-life movement, the city welcomed its first cruise ship -- since the September 11 terrorist attacks -- earlier this week. The Cape May Light, the Delta Queen Coastal Voyages new, 224-passenger ship sailing America’s East Coast and the Canadian Maritimes, will return -- October 1, 8 and 18 -- as it continues on its fall foliage itinerary.
On this first return to New York, crew members left a wreath in the water near the Statue of Liberty to commemorate victims of the attacks.
