Got Cruise Food Questions? Ask a Celebrity Cruises Exec!
Jacques Van Staden, vp food and beverage for Celebrity and Azamara Cruises What to know what's in that souffle you had on Celebrity Summit or how to handle food allergies in the specialty restaurants on Azamara Quest? Or do you have a more general question about dining onboard today's cruise ships?

Jacques Van Staden, vice president of food and beverage for both Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises, is at your service. As part of a Cruise Critic-exclusive Q&A, Van Staden will be answering questions this week on Cruise Critic's message boards -- starting today!

Van Staden began cooking at age 7 in his grandmother's kitchen before sneaking off to work at a French restaurant at age 14 -- while his father thought he was out playing rugby. It was in Washington, DC, that Van Staden began his career in earnest, working at storied restaurants and eventually opening his own; he was appointed to his role at Celebrity in 2007. (Click here for a more in-depth bio!)

To post your question -- or just say "hello" to our special guest -- visit the Q&A forum set up especially for this event, here. Be sure to start a new thread for your query (note: duplicate and similar questions will be merged so that Van Staden can answer as many as possible!).

Bon appetit!
