Cruise Ships Host Disney Channel Stars This Summer
Disney Summer at Sea Bringing together both its television and travel empires, Disney Cruise Line is hosting celebrities from Disney Channel shows onboard Disney Wonder this summer -- resulting in the ultimate trip for star-struck kids and their families.

A handful of stars from several hit Disney Channel programs will join passengers for three- and four-night Bahamas cruises, departing between July 9 and August 2, 2009. There are eight in total. While onboard, celebrities will ramp up the excitement during onboard deck parties, host question and answer sessions, carve out time to sign autographs for devoted fans and participate in preview screenings of Disney Channel programming.

Now, if you're thinking this could be your or your kids' chance to meet pop princess Miley Cyrus or one of the three adorable Jonas Brothers, think again -- these high profile teens won't be in attendance. However, their popular counterparts will be.

Kid favorites who will be joining the fun-filled round of summer cruises include Jason Earles, who stars in "Hannah Montana"; Nicole Anderson from "JONAS"; Tiffany Thornton, currently on "Sonny With A Chance" and many more. For more details -- like who's appearing on which sailings -- visit Disney's Web site.

Celebrity-themed cruises are not a new concept. John Mayer sailed on Carnival Splendor for the Mayercraft Carrier II cruise this past March, and soap stars can be found regularly on theme cruises that are geared toward their shows' viewers. Families also flock to Royal Caribbean ships for Nickelodeon's annual family cruises to mingle onboard with the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Blue from "Blue's Clues" and more.

What's one of these family-oriented, fun-packed theme cruises like? Check out our report from last year's Nick Cruise!
