Severe Mediterranean Storm Disrupts Barcelona's Port
A harsh winter wind storm on Boxing Day caused severe damage to part of Barcelona's cruise terminal complex. The damage, first reported by Cruise-Community.com, noted that an "unexpectedly strong 'Levante'" caused the havoc, which is limited to Costa Crociere's Palacruceros terminal there.

Other terminals, not as exposed to sea, wind and water, were unimpacted and will serve turnarounds for P&O Cruises' Arcadia, which is in port today, and, early next week, Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas and NCL's Norwegian Jade. MSC Fantasia will also maintain its scheduled call to Barcelona next week.

Costa Serena is, on the other hand, scheduled to turnaround at Palacruceros on January 7. At this point, there's no word on alternatives or severity of damage.

We'll keep you posted.
