A cruise passenger was in for a shock this week when she fell into the water while waiting on a pier alongside Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Century.
The 72-year-old American lady, who was a guest onboard the 71,545-ton, 1,814-passenger ship, accidently fell two metres into the water in Belfast, Ireland, where the ship was docked on Wednesday.
A crew member jumped into the water to rescue the woman and she was immediately taken to a local hospital for observation and is now in a stable condition. A member of Celebrity's guest care team is in contact with the woman to assist and monitor her progress.
Celebrity Century is currently on a 12-night Scotland and Ireland cruise that departed Amsterdam on May 29.
