U.K. football fans will be feeling a sense of sadness this summer as none of our national teams managed to qualify for the Euro 2008 football championships.
This void in the lives of soccer-mad supporters can be eased by adopting another team for the duration of the matches, which will be played in Austria and Switzerland in June. But what happens if you take a holiday during those crucial games? Well, you can always sail with Costa Cruises, which has announced that all ships in its fleet will be showing every Euro 2008 game in various bars onboard.
And if (screen) size matters, the 114,500-ton, 3,750-passenger Costa Serena and Costa Concordia will also be showing the games on the huge 18-square-metre LED monitors located on the central lido decks. On both ships the area will be turned into an "arena" with seating capacity for thousands so people can soak up the sun as well as the soccer.
The championships will run 7 through 29 June.
