June 12, 2001
European river cruise itineraries on the Danube, Rhine and Rhone are getting an exotic new boost as Peter Deilmann launches a new ship, Casanova, which will sail from Venice on Italy’s Po. The three-deck, 98-passenger ship sails seven-day voyages out of Venice through November 17. Hotspots visited on the trip, which lets passengers get up-close-and-personal with the heart-of-Italy include Bologna, Ferrara, Verna, Mantua and Padua, along with a night on board in Venice.
