Hurricane Dean Itinerary Roundup

(3 p.m.) -- Hurricane Dean, which made landfall this morning near Costa Maya at full Category Five strength, has moved well into the Yucatan peninsula and, with winds at 85 miles per hour, has been downgraded to a Category One storm.

The biggest surprise about the monster storm, which hopscotched through the Caribbean, "calling" at islands ranging from Barbados to Grand Cayman, is how limited the damage was; all ports, including Cozumel, are reopening quickly to cruise traffic. The port that didn't escape Dean is the popular Western Caribbean port of Costa Maya, which suffered a direct hit while the storm was at full strength. We'll keep you posted as information is released.
