Carnival's Rusty Wallace Cruise Sails On in 2007
Gentlemen -- and ladies -- start your engines: At long last, Carnival Cruise Lines has announced its next "Rusty Wallace Cruise." The NASCAR-themed sailings are hugely popular (this is the seventh one!) and the most requested among Cruise Critic readers.

The 2007 "Rusty Wallace Cruise" will set sail December 1, 2007 on the 102,000-ton, 2,758-passenger Carnival Triumph; the seven-day itinerary includes calls at Half Moon Cay, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk. Onboard, special perks include:

Invitation-only events, including a private cocktail reception
Exclusive question-and-answer and photo sessions.
Racing-themed contests and giveaways held throughout the voyage.
Prizes and memorabilia, such as free race passes and autographed racing shirts

Editor's Note: Be sure to use fare code CPRW when booking to take advantage of the invitation-only events taking place onboard.

The first "Rusty Wallace Cruise" took place in 2001; since then, the theme sailings -- some of the best-attended in the industry -- have hosted more than 7,000 racing fans.
