| Celebrity Names Ship |
| Just in case you were holding your breath on this announcement, Celebrity Cruises has named its next Millennium-class ship the Constellation. It’s the fourth -- and final -- in the series and is due out in May 2002, following the debut of Celebrity Summit (no. 3 if you’re counting) this summer. Constellation will begin its inaugural season in Europe and the books open for reservations later this month. The ship will have many of the same features found on other Millennium-class vessels such as Millennium and Infinity -- great art, fabulous spa, Michael’s Club cigar bar, music library, and on-and-on. It’s also worth mentioning the class’ status as the first ships to incorporate gas turbine engines and operate on a smokeless propulsion system, which is good for the environment. | |
