Hurricane Florence Pounding Bermuda

(11:05 a.m.) -- Hurricane Florence is hitting Bermuda with sustained winds of 90 mile per hour gusts of up to 111 m.p.h. have recently been reported on the island.

Little change in intensity is being forecasted at this time. A hurricane warning remains in effect.

As of 11 a.m. on Monday, the storm was located 60 miles northwest of Bermuda, moving at approximately 13 miles per hour. The center of the Florence is expected to move away from the island later today.

The sixth named storm of the Atlantic season, Hurricane Florence is "unusually large" according to the National Hurricane Center.
