Celebrity Cruises, which already has two Solstice class ships on order, has committed to building a third.
The ship, which like its siblings Solstice and Equinox will measure 118,000 tons and carry 2,850 passengers, will be built at Meyer Werft, a shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Features of the as-yet-unnamed vessel include an outside cabin ratio of 90 percent (and 90 percent of those will have verandahs) and staterooms that average 215 square ft. -- definitely larger than those found on Celebrity's other ships.
Solstice is slated for a fall 2008 debut with Equinox following in summer of 2009. The newest new ship will be delivered in 2010.
