| Fred Olsen Buys Crown Dynasty |
| Another cruise ship fire-sale (if you consider 52 million pounds - a little over $75 million - pocket change): the former Crown Cruise Lines’ Crown Dynasty - part of Commodore, which went out of business at the end of last year - has been sold. Fred Olsen, a European-based line that also runs ships such as the Black Watch and the Black Prince, will take over the 800-passenger ship (actually purchased by two Oslo companies, Fred Olsen will rename the ship Braemar and run it as a charter). Crown Dynasty, built in 1993, has been sitting in Aruba since Commodore declared bankruptcy. | |
