Just as Royal Caribbean's first Freedom-class vessel -- the 158,000-ton, 3,643-passenger Freedom of the Seas and the the cruise industry's biggest-ever ship to date -- prepares to depart its shipyard in Turku, Finland, next week, news has emerged about its next sibling.
Get used to ... Endeavor of the Seas, though the name as yet has not been officially announced. "Endeavor of the Seas" is currently in relatively early stages of construction at the dry dock facility of the very same shipyard. But according to a report in Turku's Turun Sanomat, the city's daily newspaper, the ship indeed has been bestowed a moniker.
The ship is slated for launch in spring 2007.
No comment as yet from Royal Caribbean but we'll keep you posted.
