Norwegian Jewel Stars on "The Apprentice"

February 28, 2006
Norwegian Cruise Line finally gets its chance to star on NBC's "Apprentice." The cruise line, which had hoped to feature Norwegian Dawn in a show last year and was thwarted, you may recall, by the infamous rogue wave that hit the shop off the coast of South Carolina and delayed its return -- will instead turn the spotlight over to Norwegian Jewel.

"The Apprentice," of course, is the survival-of-the-business-fittest series helmed by omnipresent entrepreneur Donald Trump.

Norwegian Jewel, the cruise line's newest, will appear in an episode scheduled to air on Monday, March 27 at 9 p.m. Alas, details about that particular episode are sketchy at best, but NCL promises to reveal them during the week of March 20.

Norwegian Jewel has another connection with "The Apprentice" and with Trump, its mega-star. His wife, Melania Trump, is godmother of the ship, which was christened in Miami in November.

"The Apprentice" launched its winter/spring season last night.
