Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas, the cruise line's newest ship, set off Sunday from Amsterdam for Miami; she's due to arrive March 21. The ship, a departure from RCI's big-bigger-biggest strategy of liner-building, is a mere 90,000 tons, carrying 2,100 passengers. Big distinctions? A bookstore/cafe and a pool table that's so high tech it can self-level when surf gets boisterous.
Radiance of the Seas will depart on her maiden voyage, a 14-night Panama Canal trip, on April 7.
