ResidenSea is a Success

March 13, 2001
The hotly awaited debut of The World of ResidenSea -- scheduled for launch in December -- looks pretty successful; already 89 of the ship’s 110 two-bedroom condo cabins (prices start at $2 million each, with annual maintenance fees adding an extra $60,000 - $250,000 on top of that) have been sold. The 40,000-ton 647-passenger ship (which also will make available 88 cabins-for-rent that you can book through Silversea) is such a smash hit, according to chairman Henning Oeglaend, that he’s talking about building eight more. He’s already signed agreements to build the next two.
