| Storm Update: Gamma Weakens, Spares Yucatan & Florida |
(11:10 a.m.) -- Gamma, the 24th named storm in the busiest season on record, has weakened to a tropical depression.
Although forecasters originally thought the path of the storm was similar to that of Hurricane Wilma, they now expect it to bypass both the Yucatan Peninsula and Florida, according to Reuters. The National Hurricane Center is currently reporting top wind speeds of about 35 miles per hour.
The storm will not likely pose a threat to in-progress or upcoming cruise itineraries. | |
