Premier Update: Official Refund Policy
The Federal Maritime Commission has updated its refund instructions for those passengers who’ve booked a cruise on Premier. The update presented no surprises; the FMC’s rules, which are available via their web site at www.fmc.gov, basically instruct those who charged their passage on a credit to go through the credit card company -- though it stresses that consumers should do so immediately. If you were covered by a third-party insurer, file a claim with that insurance company. Paid by cash or check? Freehill, Hogan & Mahar LLP, a Manhattan law firm, has been appointed to coordinate. You can obtain a claim form by calling (212) 425-1883, faxing (212) 425-0392 or sending e-mail to premier@freehill.com.
