easyCruise Announces Caribbean Itinerary
The ultra-budget easyCruise line has officially confirmed that the 4,077-ton, 170-passenger easyCruiseOne will spend this winter in the Southern Caribbean. The ship will sail a seven-night itinerary, stopping in Barbados, St. Vincent, Martinique, the Grenadines, Grenada and St. Lucia, from November 12, 2005 through April 26, 2006. Prices start at 9 GBP (about $16 U.S.) per person per night.

As with the ship's current Mediterranean itinerary, passengers may start their cruise at any point, but international airports are only found on Barbados, Martinique, Grenada and St. Lucia. In the Caribbean, where the nightlife ends earlier than in the Mediterranean, the ship will sail after midnight and arrive in port by 10 a.m. (In the Mediterranean, the ship departs after 4 a.m. for a 1 p.m. arrival.)

easyCruise also confirmed previous reports that the line is considering adding a second ship to the fleet. This ship would sail the Greek Islands in the summer of 2006 or 2007, and spend the winter in the Middle East. The line has not decided whether to acquire an existing ship or to build a new one.

easyCruiseOne will sail its current itinerary in the French and Italian Rivieras through October 15 and spend a week in Cannes at the MIPCOM TV festival before heading across the Atlantic to the Caribbean.
