CDC Anoints Year's First Batch of Perfect Scorers
So far this year, four cruise ships -- Holland America's Oosterdam, Oceania's Regatta, Carnival Glory and Carnival Victory -- have nabbed perfect scores after surprise inspections by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Most interesting among them is Carnival Victory. A score of 100 represents a major rebound for the ship, which had failed its initial inspection on December 5 with an 80 score. 86 is passing.

Also coming off the ship-of-shame list is Windjammer's Legacy. That vessel had scored a 76 in July; its new inspection garnered a healthy score of 90.

A number of ships have been almost perfect so far this year, and also deserve kudos -- those with scores of 99 include Royal Caribbean's Empress of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas, and Radisson Seven Seas Cruises' Seven Seas Voyager.
