| Star Clippers Moves Star Flyer to Singapore |
(December 30) -- Star Clippers' Star Flyer, which had planned to homeport at Phuket for a handful of South Asia voyages, reports today that it will move the ship to Singapore for the time being. This also means that itineraries will be altered.
Star Flyer originally was slated to sail to ports such as Ko Adang, Ko Lipe, Ko Khai Nok, Phi Phi Islands and Similan Islands (Thailand), Penang and Langkawi (Malaysia). The new, Singapore-based week-long sailings will focus on Malaysia, with calls at Pangkor Island and Malacca; Penang and Langkawi remain.
The move to Singapore impacts cruises slated to depart January 8 - February 5; Star Clippers' announcement says it plans to return to Phuket in mid-February. | |
