Only Princess Cruises Still Bypassing Private Island
Cruise line private islands, all of which are located in the vicinity of the Bahamas and thus were impacted by hurricanes this season, are now beginning to reopen. Among those? Norwegian Cruise Line ships are already revisiting Great Stirrup Cay. Members of the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises fleets have resumed scheduled calls at CocoCay. Disney's Magic and Wonder have returned to Castaway Cay. And Holland America's Zuiderdam has resumed calls at Half Moon Cay.

Still waiting? Princess crews continue to work on repairing damage to its Princess Cays and have not yet announced a time frame -- other than to say mid-to-late October -- for ships to begin returning there.

Grand Cayman and Grenada, the two Caribbean ports suffering major devastation as a result of hurricanes this season, have yet to reopen, and cruise lines are replacing calls to those ports for the foreseeable future.
