Hurricane Tracker -- Charley's Impact Minimal So Far
(2:08 p.m.) -- Surprisingly, Hurricane Charley, which is approaching Florida's west coast, has had only minimal impact on cruises this week. The port of Tampa is on the hot seat but Carnival, which operates twice-weekly departures from there, reports that Sensation departed yesterday -- and Inspiration is not due back until Sunday.

The eastern coast of Florida -- including "cruise central" ports such as Port Everglades and Miami -- is not much affected, at least at this point, by Hurricane Charley, though Carnival reports one change. Its four-day cruise from Miami on Imagination, slated to call at Cozumel, will head instead to the Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas.

We'll keep you posted today and through the weekend on any further changes.
