Crystal Cruises, in what amounts to taking Royal Caribbean’s on-board Johnny Rockets’ eateries to a new high, has made a deal with famed L.A. and Las Vegas restaurateur Valentino to offer his elegant Italian cuisine on Symphony and Harmony. Valentino, rated by Zagat Guide as “just plain don’t-miss dining,” is known not only for his cuisine but also an exceptional wine cellar.
“Valentino at Prego” offers diners at the cruise line’s boutique Italian restaurant to enjoy a five course Valentino dinner, prepared by Valentino-trained chefs. Selections will vary according to the cruise region. Each course is matched with a wine choice by Piero Selvaggio, a noted wine authority and proprietor of Valentino - who first got to know Crystal when he sailed on the line as wine lecturer in 1998.
