| Royal Olympia Ships Set For Auction |
The latest word from the legal world is that Royal Olympia Cruises' Olympia Explorer and Olympia Voyager have been set for sale at auction. Olympia Explorer, in Los Angeles, will be auctioned on Wednesday, March 24. Olympia Voyager, anchored off of Miami, will be auctioned on Friday, March 26.
The ships, the newest in Royal Olympia’s fleet -- and the only two that really targeted U.S.-based passengers -- were launched in 2000 and 2002; each of the 25,000-ton, 836-passenger ships cost about $175 million.
