Last week, a Cruise Critic news item announced that Millennium, Celebrity’s newest ship and the first of a whole new class of vessels for the cruise line, was still experiencing mechanical problems that has caused it to cut short some port visits. Worrisome for Cruise Critic posters was the impact of those problems on the forthcoming Infinity, which has already pushed its launch date back from February to early March. Not to worry, says a Celebrity spokeswoman. “Regarding Infinity, no doubt, there has been much rumor and speculation. But as of today (Monday, January 15), the yard has informed us that they believe the ship is on schedule.” The ship is set to make her maiden voyage on March 3.
