Crystal Expands Enrichment Program Fleetwide

November 19, 2003
Crystal Cruises, which is setting a leadership pace in the cruise industry for its commitment to enrichment programs, is expanding The Creative Learning Institute throughout its three-ship fleet.

The Creative Learning Institute originally debuted on Crystal Serenity, the line's newest ship. Its offerings will be folded into onboard activities on Crystal Symphony on its first 2004 cruise and on Crystal Harmony during its Hawaii season in February.

Among the partnerships Crystal has developed for the program include Yamaha, the piano manufacturer, which provides music instruction; Berlitz, the institution famed for its role in teaching foreign languages for immersion courses; The Parsons School of Design, whose instructors will lead art workshops; and the Cleveland Clinic and Tai Chi Cultural Center, which will offer wellness activities.

Crystal has developed partnerships with other institutions as well, such as such as the Society of Wine Educators, Pepperdine University, and Barnes&Noble.com.

All classes and workshops are free-of-charge and will be available on a year-round basis (though offerings will vary by sailing).
