My husband and I embarked on this cruise, despite a radically changed itinerary, because MSC refused our request for a refund. However, our experience was so awful that we disembarked on day 20 of 85 in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and flew home from there. Better to forfeit the unused cruise fare than to continue to subject ourselves to the cruise line’s utter disdain for passengers and 65 more days of ...
Pros are supposed to go before cons, so I will put the positives first, but please don’t miss the negatives later in this review, because although there were a few redeeming qualities, make no mistake, I would never sail with MSC again.
First positive, all the staff below the managerial level deserve to be commended for being true, if not powerless, delights. We had many wonderful interactions ...
If I could give no stars I would. I joined a world cruise with MSC and have had nothing but frustration and grievances. If you are a parent I highly suggest considering another cruise line. A child was assaulted by an adult passenger and when the parents filed a complaint after bringing him to the medical center, nothing was done but a warning. The baby pool on the cruise was under maintenance ...
We are currently on this terrible cruise
Over 500 people on board have signed a petition protesting the way MSC are treating us.
1. So many sea days
Change of itinerary increasing itinerary to an extra 20 sea days, less port times, and no compensation for these changes or refunds of tax and port fees.
As compared to other cruise companies such as Cunard, princess, costa etc who have ...
MSC said the ship was refurbished in 2023 and they must be talking about the exterior of the ship. The public stairs lot dated with the teal and chocolate motif. The cabins are either navy or bordello red. The furniture in the cabin is worn, sun bleached and dated, think 90’s. Dining options are limited. There is the main dining room offering a selection of reoccurring average to say the best ...
We chose this world cruise excited to visit some of our bucket list destinations. While visiting Egypt became impossible due to conflict in the region we were still thrilled we would be going to Rhodes. But not to be. More than half the cruise has been made up of sea days with substandard destinations. Food has bern appalling with regular absence of fresh fruit, salad and now no coffee available ...
I took this cruise because it was a rock n roll cruise. The problem was the Moody Cruise staff. They were rude and abrasive to the passengers. The head of security was seen grabbing a woman by the arm and pulling her up from a chair because he was in a rage for some reason. He should have been charged with a criminal assault' and fired! They got after a senior passenger who was moving as quickly ...
I went on the Monsters of Rock cruise in March. I would say it was a good cruise for my first time, but I would definitely cruise with a different line next time.
The pros:
-Service was great. I never found anyone to be less than helpful and courteous.
-Our room was always clean when we returned.
-It never seemed crowded; however, that may simply be a result of being on an 80's rock ...
we took a themed cruise (monsters of rock) to the bahamas on board the MSC Poesia in March 2013. we read the reviews on here prior to taking the cruise, but, since the theme chose this vessel, we lacked an alternative. If we had a choice, (based on the other reviews) we would have gone with something different. That we had to pay, to tell you firsthand only adds salt to the wound.
The issues we ...
This was my 2nd MSC cruise and it did not disappoint me. The entertainment was terrific, the food in the dinning room was good and the ship was clean. This ship has the best pizza on board any ship!
Different things about this ship: the balcony doors were really easy to open. With just a push of a button and a slide, the door was open and stayed open. They were the easiest to operate of ...
